The player development of Alabama helped the Tide land 4-star DB Earl Little, Jr.
He is a Miami legacy. He is an elite defensive back with major offers. And like a lot of times, Alabama is the school of choice.
Earl Little, Jr. was getting offers as a freshman and he has been recruited for over three years. The No. 88 prospect in the On3 Consensus gave Florida State a hard look to the end. He took an official visit to Oregon. Of course, Miami was always lurking.
But Alabama has been his favorite for some time and the 6-foot, 180-pound defender out of Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage acted on that love for the Crimson Tide Wednesday.
“It came down to how the player development at Alabama,” Little told On3. “The coaching there is the best. I like the way they prepare players for the NFL too. The stability at the top played a role in my decision.”

Alabama was the leader coming out of the summer. Little still took his time, went through the recruiting process, and made sure before making the call.
“I think it was about two to two and a half weeks ago that I called and committed to coach Nick Saban. I took my visits, thought about it for a while, and I knew my mind was made up at that time.”
Now the star out of south Florida is excited about what lies ahead in Tuscaloosa.
“I am definitely excited about the future,” Little said. “They win. They produce players. Alabama is the best program in the country.
“How they do things is on a high level and I know I will get better there.”
