The Alabama Crimson Tide survived a 20-19 scare last week against the Texas Longhorns. They were pushed to the limit, but Bryce Young delivered the clutch plays when his team needed them the most and the Tide prevailed victorious. This weekend, the Crimson Tide draw a matchup with the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks. Check out the hype video Alabama football dropped this afternoon ahead of Saturday’s matchup.

Running back Jahmyr Gibbs had an outstanding game against Texas last weekend. A dynamic receiver out of the backfield, he has immediately showcased why he was so highly coveted in the transfer portal. Gibbs had nine catches for 74 receiving yards and a touchdown for Alabama. He was one of their most reliable threats last Saturday and he figures to be a matchup problem every time he steps on the football field. Wide receiver Traeshon Holden is finally starting to emerge and flash the potential he showed in Alabama’s 2021 spring game. He pulled in four catches for 39 receiving yards against Texas.

Surprisingly, Alabama’s Will Anderson, Jr. only has one sack thus far, but he’s got three tackles for loss. He had a number of uncharacteristic penalties in the Texas game. They call him the “Terminator” for a reason and he’s one of the greatest defenders the sport has ever seen. Look for his production and numbers to pick up very soon. It also shouldn’t take much longer for Dallas Turner to start filling up the stat sheet.

Fifth-year linebacker Jaylen Moody currently leads Alabama in tackles with 16. And Bryce Young still looks like Bryce Young, one of the best quarterback prospects in the game today. He’s calm, unflappable, and remarkably poised even in the most chaotic of situations. The Californian showed freon in his blood yet again in the final minute of the Texas game, delivering the clutch plays when the Tide desperately needed them.

Alabama faces off against Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday, Sept. 17. Kickoff is slated for 4:00 PM EST.
