WATCH: Bryce Young makes hilarious appearance in new Heisman House commercial
Aside from taking home the iconic stiff-arming trophy, another reward for winning the Heisman is being welcomed into the Heisman House. Ahead of the 2022 season, 2021 winner Bryce Young was finally welcomed into the home of a hundred legends.
There to meet him at the door was none other than Tim Tebow. A fellow former SEC quarterback and the first sophomore to ever win the trophy. Of course, Young himself was a sophomore last year, so there’s that connection.
But to see Young’s initiation into the House and watch him interact with legends of college football’s past, you can check out the most recent Heisman House ad released by Nissan right here:
Recap
As mentioned, Young is greeted by Tebow, wearing his iconic No. 15 Florida jersey. Which also represents the number of years since he won the award himself. But poor Bryce is met with a world of chaos at the front door. The commercial needle-drops House of Pain’s “Jump Around” as the insanity ensues.
A Trojan mascot escorted Carson Palmer through the front hallway on a blocking sled. Kyler Murray and Barry Sanders channeled their inner Karate Kid in a contentious battle to paint each side of a wall their respective Oklahoman school colors. Murray then winced once the elder Sanders put on his eye-black and growled at him. “Baker, Barry’s freaking me out,” he called out to 2017 Heisman winner Baker Mayfield.

Mayfield, meanwhile, was engaged in his own Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State rivalry at the card table against the Cowboys mascot, Pistol Pete, who wears an impenetrable poker face. “Just can’t read this guy,” Mayfield admitted. Then there’s even more commotion in the kitchen, where Baylor winner Robert Griffin III and 2020 winner DeVonta Smith are elbows-deep in a dish-washing race.
Outside the house, former Alabama running back and 2015 winner Derrick Henry’s ability to lift a Nissan impressed 1966 winner Steve Spurrier nary a bit. The Ol’ Ball Coach chirped, “that’s cute Derrick, but the real competition was reps,” as he curled tiny dumb bells with ease.
Lastly, Young was thrown to the fire in an Iron Bowl thumb war against the Auburn mascot, Aubie. The ad cut away before they finished, but Young has already proven he knows how to beat the Tigers.
