WATCH: Evan Neal narrates Alabama hype video for Iron Bowl
Alabama football released a hype video via Twitter ahead of its annual Iron Bowl meeting with Auburn on Saturday. Following what has been a tradition this season, the Crimson Tide had a current player serve as the narrator for the video.
Junior offensive lineman Evan Neal earned the honors this week, setting the scene for one of college football’s greatest rivalries. The schools are set to clash for the 86th time, with Alabama holding a 47-37-1 lead in the series.
Aside from the joy of beating Auburn, Alabama is playing for its seventh all-time College Football Playoff berth. The Crimson Tide, currently No. 3 in the committee’s rankings, are already guaranteed to play Georgia for the SEC championship.
Heisman candidate Bryce Young has been spectacular all season for Alabama, and once again leads the team into this matchup. His 38 passing touchdowns lead the conference, while he ranks second to Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers with 4,449 yards passing.
On the other side, Auburn is rolling out TJ Finley under center. Starting in place of an injured Bo Nix, he finished with 188 yards and a touchdown in last week’s loss to South Carolina.

Although the Crimson Tide enter as a three-touchdown favorite, don’t consider anything to come easy in this game. Especially of late, the rivalry has been a bit of a toss up with the schools splitting the past four contests.
Alabama won the most recent battle, 42-13 last year in Tuscaloosa. But with this year’s game set to take place in Auburn, perhaps the Tigers can make use of their home field advantage. The home team has won each of the past five meetings.
Although fans certainly don’t need a hype video to get excited for the Iron Bowl, Evan Neal’s performance as narrator only adds to the fire. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET in Auburn.
