Former star receiver of the Alabama Crimson Tide Jameson Williams had his season come to a screeching halt midway through the national championship game after suffering an ACL injury. Since then, the speedy wideout has been working to get back to the field while preparing for the 2022 NFL draft. And for fans of NFL franchises hoping their team drafts him come April, Williams has released this video of his rehab process.

ESPN reporter Adam Schefter got ahold of footage from Williams rehab courtesy of Alliance Sports. In the video below, you can see the Alabama product working on his balance and hand-eye coordination.

That’s music to the ears of every NFL front office looking for the next star wide receiver. In recent seasons, wide receivers fresh out of college have come in and taken the league by storm — LSU’s Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson are two prime examples.

Last season, Williams did just that in his first season at Alabama. His speed is a unique trait, and it’ll be coveted by NFL teams. When it comes to the 2022 NFL Draft, it’ll be tough to pass on the skillset Jameson Williams possesses.

Mel Kiper on Jameson Williams, unique skillset: ‘You certainly want that on your football team.’

One staunch believer in Jameson Williams is ESPN’s NFL Draft Guru Mel Kiper. Throughout the pre-draft process, Kiper has been raving about what an incredible value the electrifying playmaker is in this year’s draft.

“You’re betting on a kid that had he stayed healthy, I think Alabama wins that game against Georgia,” Kiper said. “It was a shame he got hurt. Obviously from Alabama’s standpoint they move on to win a national title and for Jameson he would have been a guaranteed top 10 pick. He took the top off the defense every week. And now he falls into the late first round. You talk about being a bargain. Yeah, I would wait it out for Jameson Williams. That kind of speed. That electricity. The hands. The attitude. The warrior mentality he has.

“You certainly want that on your football team. Yeah, I would wait it out for a guy who would have been a top 10 pick, if I’m in the late first round and he’s still on the board.”

As you can see, Mel Kiper believes Jameson Williams could be the biggest steal of the 2022 NFL Draft. After watching the star wide receiver blossom at Alabama, it’s tough to bet against his potential.
