Alabama head coach was in a good mood after his Cotton Bowl win on Friday night, laughing at a fun exchange during his postgame interview. The Crimson Tide beat Cincinnati 27-6 in their College Football Playoff semifinal game, advancing to the National Championship game against the winner between Georgia and Michigan.

Nick Saban laughs postgame

After fulfilling his postgame interview requirements, ESPN’s Laura Rutledge shared a fun moment with the Crimson Tide’s coach. Acknowledging Saban’s tiredness with the interview and his eagerness to get back to his team’s celebration, Rutledge said she was letting the coach go to his surprise.

Saban laughed with Rutledge, thanking her for the early release and wished her a happy new year while waving his hand. While Saban’s ultimate goal is another National Championship win, Alabama is feeling good after dominating the Bearcats in the Cotton Bowl.

The Crimson Tide dominated the Bearcats throughout the game, scoring a touchdown on their first possession of the game. While they allowed a field goal on Cincinnati’s first drive of the game, they would allow only six points all day. Alabama outgained Cincinnati 482 yards to 218.

Brian Robinson Jr. says Alabama will win it all

Alabama running back Brian Robinson didn’t hold back in his interview following the Crimson Tide’s victory against Cincinnati in the Cotton Bowl. The victory sends Alabama to the national championship once again, where it will have the opportunity to win back-to-back titles.

To Robinson, who finished with 204 yards rushing, the Tide’s victory in that game is inevitable.

“Man, because we just know how to fight, know how to fight until the end,” the running back said. “We know how to come together as a team, as a unit. We’re just warriors, we fight to the end. That’s why we’re going to win the natty and repeat.”

The last time Alabama won back-to-back national championships came in 2016 and 2017. The Crimson Tide will face the winner of Georgia and Michigan for a chance at a seventh championship under coach Nick Saban.
