Alabama wide receiver Shazz Preston intends to enter the NCAA transfer portal, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Preston spent two seasons with the Crimson Tide but will be looking to continue his college career somewhere else.

Preston will have three years of eligibility remaining after taking a redshirt during his freshman year under Nick Saban. Making an appearance in five games this season, Preston was not able to record any statistics while on the field.

His official roster page on the Alabama website says Preston contributed on special teams too. There is definitely some untapped potential with him. Whichever program winds up landing Preston in the portal should be getting a player ready to break out and put up big numbers on the stat sheet.

Preston played high school football at Saint James (LA) St. James, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 50 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
