Will Alabama superstar edge rusher Will Anderson enter the 2023 NFL Draft? While that may seem like a foregone conclusion to many around college football as dominant as he’s been the last two years, the Crimson Tide junior has yet to make a decision.

For now, he’s just enjoying life in college. Well, he’s enjoying life in college as a superstar on the awards circuit this postseason, anyway.

“It’s been in consideration, me and my family,” Anderson said Wednesday night in interviews at the Rotary Lombardi Award show. “But right now I’m just in the moment. I’m living in the moment of like, again, traveling, being a part of all these special awards, being with my family, letting them get to see all these beautiful places that we are.

“And just being in the moment, being where my feet are. I’m enjoying this moment right now and later on we might see what happens.”

Virtually every mock 2023 NFL Draft has Anderson becoming a top-10 NFL Draft pick in the event he makes the decision to leave Alabama after the 2022 season.

The Crimson Tide have one game remaining, set to face No. 9 Kansas State in the Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans on Dec. 31.

No rush for Will Anderson on NFL Draft decision

There is still plenty of time for Will Anderson’s NFL Draft decision. Underclassmen must declare for the 2023 NFL Draft by Jan. 16, meaning he’s still got more than a month to ponder things.

Few have the kind of statistical production to back a jump like Anderson, though.

In three years at Alabama, Anderson has accounted for 205 tackles, 62.0 tackles for a loss, 34.5 sacks, an interception, a forced fumble and five passes defended.

It’s one of the major reasons the 2021 Bronko Nagurski Award winner and the 2021 consensus first-team All-American can take things slow without anyone batting an eye.

“Just talking with my family,” Anderson said. “That’s just for me and my family to discuss. Haven’t made any decisions like that. Just in the moment, man. In the moment.”

Anderson was named the winner of the 2022 Rotary Lombardi Award on Wednesday night in Houston, Texas.
