Will Anderson reveals his favorite Iron Bowl memory from his time at Alabama
In recent years, one of the best players in one of the best college football rivalries has been Will Anderson. An edge rusher for Alabama, Anderson can dominate a game, putting the entire defense on his back, and wrecking an offensive gameplan.
Will Anderson has already played the Iron Bowl against Auburn twice, recording a sack in each game. While speaking to the media, he looked back on those games and explained his favorite moment from them.
“I would just say, as a team, when Kool-Aid [McKinstry] got that stop, he deflected that pass in the end zone, and then when Bryce [Young] went down and the offense went down and scored,” Will Anderson said. “I think those two moments were the biggest moments ever, and that’s just as a team.”

“I was so happy, I was just so up. I know Bryce was like one of the first people I hugged, but those moments right there are moments that you cherish forever because those are the moments that you have with your brothers that you spent all offseason working hard with blood, sweat, and tears. It’s hard and everything like that, so those are the moments you don’t take for granted.”

It has been a long season for Auburn and Will Anderson will look to take advantage of a struggling Tigers’ offense, potentially putting on a show for Alabama fans and NFL scouts.
Will Anderson on playing in a bowl game
There is a good chance that the Iron Bowl is Will Anderson’s last game in an Alabama uniform. Projected as a high NFL Draft pick, he’s expected to move on for the professional ranks. There is also a chance that if he is going pro, he will skip the bowl game to prepare for the draft.
“You know, I haven’t made any decisions, yet,” Will Anderson said.
“I’ve just been real focused on this season and continuing to be a good leader, and making sure that I’m showing guys the right way of how to do things around here. But, it’s been a great time here, playing in Bryant-Denny has been fun, so many memories, and you know I just want to keep those memories going. So, it’s been fun and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.”
