Will Anderson shares his favorite sack from Alabama career
Will Anderson declared for the NFL Draft following the Sugar Bowl. With that decision, he cemented himself in second place all-time at Alabama in sacks recorded with 34.5 sacks during his career.
Now, while speaking to the media about his time at Alabama and decision to enter the draft, Anderson explained which sack was his favorite.
“Probably my freshman year,” Will Anderson said. “Florida. SEC Championship Game when I got the forced fumble.”
“I honestly think the Florida game kind of jump started my career and just took off from there, and I think that’s when it clicked for me. But, I think that’s one of my favorite sacks.”
Anderson is referring to the 2020 SEC Championship Game. In November of that season, he broke onto the scene with multi-sack games against LSU and Arkansas. That championship game against Florida was another two-sack performance but only one of those sacks resulted in a forced fumble too.

Will Anderson is excited for the future of the Alabama pass rush
With Will Anderson moving on to the NFL, it’s easy to worry about Alabama’s pass rush in the future. However, Anderson himself isn’t worried. He’s excited.
“Oh yeah I’m super excited, I was happy, I think this game was just one of the games where you just go out there and have fun for real, just smile all the time. That’s the thing, we just wanted to go out there and rush and have fun,” Anderson said.
“Dallas Turner, Chris Braswell, Keon (Keeley), the dude that they just recruited, Quandarrius Robinson, Jeremiah (Alexander), all of those guys are super talented, super good. I’m super excited to see what the future holds for all of them. They’re all gonna be really good and I can’t wait to see what they do next year.”
