Will Reichard opens up on what it'll be like taking the field at Bryant-Denny Stadium for final time
When Alabama takes the field against Chattanooga on Saturday it’ll be the last home game for several seniors, including kicker Will Reichard.
And while it remains to be seen whether this year’s group can do something special, like win an SEC or national title, Reichard has already etched himself into Alabama history. He’s one of the most productive specialists in school history.
Things might be a little bittersweet for Reichard on Saturday.
“I think after last week’s game was over, kind of the rest of the weekend, these last couple days I’ve kind of thought about it a little bit,” Reichard said. “It’s a little sad that it’s going to be my last time in Bryant-Denny, but super blessed to have been able to play here the last five years.”
In those five years, Reichard emerged as one of the most reliable kickers in college football history.
He is the NCAA’s all-time kicking points leader and ranks third overall on the career points list. He’s the SEC’s career leader for points with 502 on 77 made field goals and 271 made point-after attempts.

Reichard has been a mainstay on the team since 2019.
“It’s been a huge blessing,” he said. “Really thankful for coach Saban for giving me the opportunity to do so. I’m really excited to run on that field one last time.”
Malachi Moore also set to take in Senior Day
Another of the players like Will Reichard that will be enjoying Senior Day on Saturday is defensive back Malachi Moore.
Moore will go through the Senior Day activities, even though he has the potential to return should he so choose. He hasn’t made that decision yet, he said.
“I really haven’t thought about it too much,” Moore said. “Senior Day, it’s kind of surreal to see how quickly everything has gone by so fast. I’m kind of just taking it in each day at a time. I’ll probably have a little extra emotion running through me on Saturday coming out the tunnel not knowing if it’s going to be my last time or not. I’m looking forward to it.”
Alabama and Chattanooga will kick off at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday, with a broadcast slated for ESPN+.
