Braelon Green commits to Arizona State, Bobby Hurley
Los Angeles (Calif.) So Cal Academy three-star recruit Braelon Green tells On3 he has committed to Arizona State.
Green, a 6-foot-2 class of 2023 combo guard, ultimately chose the Sun Devils over Nebraska and NC State. He also received offers from Texas, Michigan State, Kansas, and others.
The Michigan native becomes Arizona State’s second commitment to the class, joining four-star PF Akil Watson (No. 110).
Green ranks as the No. 121 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies.

What type of player is Arizona State getting in Braelon Green?
“They are getting a leader and a do-it-all combo guard. I’m really athletic and have a great pull-up game. I’m going to bring that energy every day and I’m a winner. I expect to go to the tournament every year I’m there.”
Green has a message for Arizona State fans.
“I’m ready to play in front of the best fans in the world and I’m excited I’m going to give you all I have.”
Scouting Summary
Braelon Green is a sturdy, strong-framed lead guard. He relentless attacks the paint, touching it often in the half-court. Green will need to develop his decision making on the move, oftentimes getting stuck after over penetrating. The jump shot is confident but streaky. He had the upside as a good point of attack defender. Lost something after coming back from a shoulder injury that sidelined him for a few months of his junior season. He is an explosive athlete and has a confident toughness. Is the younger brother of former Kentucky recruit Alex Legion. – On3’s Jamie Shaw, National Recruiting Analyst
