Kenny Dillingham makes amazing gesture to off-the-field staff after receiving hefty bonus
It has been a special season for Kenny Dillingham and his Arizona State football team. The Sun Devils beat BYU 28-23 this past weekend to improve to 9-2 on the year.
With the win came a hefty bonus for Dillingham, who received an extra $200,000 for Arizona State reaching the nine-win mark.
Kenny Dillingham didn’t want to keep all of the bonus money for himself, though. Instead, he is dividing it up between off-the-field staffers, according to Chris Karpman of SunDevilSource.com.
Karpman reported Thursday afternoon that Kenny Dillingham is giving 20 off-the-field staffers a bonus of between $5,000 and $10,000. The money is coming directly from Dillingham, according to Karpman.
That is obviously an incredibly kind gesture by Kenny Dillingham. It’s ironic that news broke about the gesture on Thanksgiving Day as Dillingham is clearly thankful for his off-the-field staffers who do a ton of work behind the scenes to ensure the Arizona State football program piles up wins.
Kenny Dillingham and the Sun Devils will be in a good spot as far as reaching the Big 12 title game should they beat rival Arizona on Saturday. There is a wacky scenario involving tiebreakers that could lead to Arizona State being left out of the Big 12 title game even with a win over Arizona, but it is extremely unlikely.

Kenny Dillingham calls for Cam Skattebo to get Heisman Trophy love
The 2024 college football season is winding down. Plenty of hardware is about to be dished out, including one of the most coveted prizes of all, the Heisman Trophy.
Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo continues to show that he’s one of the best all-purpose backs in America. And on the Wednesday evening episode of SportsCenter on ESPN, ASU head coach Kenny Dillingham pounded the table for his superstar to get some more love for the Heisman Trophy.
“The dude’s tough as nails. The dude plays the game with so much passion. He plays so hard,” Kenny Dillingham said. “He should 100 percent be getting some Heisman love. I don’t think there’s any doubt about that.”
