Former USC star Zachariah Branch and his brother Zion Branch will visit Arizona State while exploring their options in the transfer portal, according to Sun Devil Source’s Chris Karpman.

On3’s Pete Nakos confirmed the impending visit. Both Branch brothers were expected to visit Georgia as well. The Bulldogs are the No. 2 seed in the College Football Playoff.

Zachariah Branch is rated as one of the best players available in the portal. Per the On3 Transfer Portal Industry Rankings, he is the No. 6 overall player and No. 5 when only looking at wide receivers. His brother, Zion, comes in at No. 326 overall and the No. 33 safety.

At least for Zachariah, he entered the portal with a ‘Do Not Contact Tag.’ Usually pretty telling about where someone wants to end up. But, the Arizona State visit is pretty new, perhaps adding to the drama of his portal recruitment.

In 2024, Zachariah Branch played a key role as a receiver, hauling in 47 receptions for 503 yards and a touchdown. He also took 13 punts back for 74 yards and five kickoffs for 105 yards.

Zachariah and Zion Branch played high school football at Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman. Zachariah was a Five Star Plus+ prospect and the No. 4 overall player from the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Zion graduated a year earlier as a four-star prospect and the No. 61-ranked player from the 2022 recruiting cycle.

The brothers also notably signed an NIL deal with Jordan Brand this year, becoming the first college football players to join the company. Zachariah Branch has the higher profile of the two, though, and notably signed NIL deals with JLab and Powerade this season.

Branch has an On3 NIL Valuation of $1.2 million, which ranks No. 34 in the college football NIL rankings. That also puts him at No. 68 in the On3 NIL 100, the first of its kind and defacto NIL ranking of the top 100 high school and college athletes ranked by their On3 NIL Valuation.
