WATCH: Arizona State players use choice words while cleaning out former quarterback's locker
Arizona State quarterback Jayden Daniels reportedly has his eyes set on entering the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to a Thursday afternoon report, and it appears as though his teammates aren’t taking the news too well.
A native of San Bernardino, California, Daniels has been Arizona State’s starting quarterback for each of the past three seasons, first getting the nod in 2019, his true freshman season. That year, he threw for 2,943 passing yards, 17 touchdowns and just two interceptions, while holding a 60.7 percent completion rate; all the while, he rushed for 355 yards and three touchdowns. In doing so, he was named an honorable mention for Pac-12 Freshman Offensive Player of the Year. This past season, Daniels helped lead Arizona State to a bowl game, throwing for 2,380 yards, 10 touchdowns and 10 interceptions on a 65.4 percent completion rate. His effectiveness on the ground only improved, as he ran for 710 yards and six touchdowns.
However, when Daniels reportedly entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, his teammates quickly turned hostile, as seen in a video that surfaced on Twitter on Thursday. In the video, Arizona State players are clearing out Daniels’ locker with some choice words. (Warning: This video contains explicit language)

“(Daniels) sucks anyways,” one player is heard saying.
Daniels tied for first in the Pac-12 with a 65.4% completion percentage while helping the Sun Devils to an 8-5 record this past year. During his three years with Arizona State, Daniels played in 29 games and completed 62.4% of his passes for 6,025 yards and 32 touchdowns.
Out of high school from the class of 2019, Daniels was a four-star recruit and the No. 8-ranked recruit from the state of California, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Now, as he enters the NCAA Transfer Portal, Daniels was ranked as the No. 14 quarterback in the portal, according to the On3 Transfer Portal rankings, falling just one spot below former Georgia quarterback JT Daniels.
