3-star LB Stacy Bey commits to Arizona: "Arizona is home for me"
Stacy Bey committed to San Diego State in March, but just days after taking an official visit to Arizona, he backed off his pledge to the Aztecs.
The 6-foot, 215-pound three-star linebacker out of Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) was offered by Arizona in August. He had visited Tuscon before, but after the staff watched his first few games this season, they really started to pursue Bey.
That led to an official visit last weekend, and then that time on campus led to Bey becoming a Wildcat.
“My visit was a big part of the decision,” Bey told On3. “I learned a lot education-wise, I got my parents on board and that is when I knew my decision.
“Arizona is close to home, they have a great platform for their players, I have great relationships and I loved how they recruited me. The staff was patient, they didn’t pressure me to flip and I feel good about my commitment.
“Arizona is home for me.”
Bey visited Tuscon over the summer before he had the offer. After the offer, things picked up, and over the last couple of months, Jedd Fisch‘s program moved to the top.

“Early in the season, Arizona started keying in on me. We were talking a lot and right away, they had some big interest. My interest in them grew over time. I knew I liked them, then the official visit and that is when I made my decision.
“Arizona has great resources on and off the field, they cater to their athletes to help them be successful in football and academics and I love the fit for me.”
Bey is excited about the big stage. Arizona is headed for the Big 12. His decision is final and he is excited about the future.
“Since Coach Fisch took over, the program has been making progress,” Bey said. “He has built a great culture, the program is getting better each season and it is a great place to be.”
