4-star quarterback Brayden Dorman commits to Arizona
After a strong finish to the 2022 recruiting cycle, Arizona has continued its momentum into 2023 by landing Colorado Springs (Colo.) Vista Ridge quarterback Brayden Dorman.
Dorman is the No. 271 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 12 quarterback and the No. 1 junior prospect in the Centennial State.
The 6-foot-4, 196-pounder chose the Wildcats over four other finalists: Colorado, Iowa State, Mississippi State and Oregon State. According to MaxPreps, Dorman threw for 2,765 passing yards and 30 touchdowns in 11 games this fall.

Arizona was the last school to host Brayden Dorman on an unofficial visit in late January. He left Tucson talking about the bond he’s built with Wildcats coach Jedd Fisch and quarterbacks coach Jimmy Dougherty. He received an offer from Cal on Jan. 31 but was unable to visit the Bears before the recruiting dead period started.
Dorman is the second commitment for Arizona in the 2023 cycle, joining three-star cornerback Canyon Moses. Despite a 1-11 finish last season, the Wildcats compiled a top-30 recruiting class, which included elite wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan and four other four-star prospects.
