Arizona is coming off a 2023 class where they only signed one player, four-star KJ Lewis. Kylan Boswell was originally part of the 2023 class as well; however, he classified up to the 2022 class and enrolled early.

Arizona is currently No. 9 in the AP top 25. They are scoring a ton of points on the floor and carrying momentum with some highly-rated prospects in the 2024 class.

Arizona has one early commitment from four-star shooting guard Jamari Phillips. Tommy Lloyd and crew have gotten off to a good start, quickly narrowing their focus on a handful of players. It should also be noted that Lloyd has a strong track record recruiting internationally, and many of those players pop up quickly.

Tommy Lloyd has been very specific in his domestic recruiting for this class. The Wildcats have only issued around five offers in the class. Let’s look through how the class could shape up.

Committed

Four-star SG Jamari Phillips

Height/Weight: 6-3/175
High school: Chandler (AZ) AZ Compass
2024 On3 Consensus: No. 42

Jamari Phillips recently transferred to AZ Compass after starting the season with Modesto (CA) Modesto Christian. He played this summer with the Paul George Elite program on Nike’s EYBL 16u Circuit. In July circuit play, Phillips averaged 18.5 points on 3.0 made threes per game. He is a confident shooter with range that extends beyond the arc. He is also young, not turning 18 until February of his senior year of high school.

Top targets

NR SG Thierry Darlan

Height/Weight: 6-5/180
High school: NBA Academy Africa
2024 On3 Consensus: NR

Thierry Darlan had a breakout July, playing with the NBA Academy in Atlanta. This season Darlan has continued the momentum into the Tarkanian Classic. He has excellent length and has been playing primarily on the ball this season. Arizona and the G-League are involved, while he has also taken an official visit to Santa Clara.

Four-star SF Carter Bryant

Height/Weight: 6-8/225
High school: Riverside (CA) Sage Hill School
2024 On3 Consensus: No. 15

Carter Bryant is an explosive wing who, I am told, is a top target for Tommy Lloyd. The four-star has taken a long official visit to Louisville. He has scheduled upcoming officials to Gonzaga and Arizona for February. Bryant originally scheduled a visit to Arizona in October, but he needed to postpone.

Four-star PG Zoom Diallo

Height/Weight: 6-4/190
High school: Tacoma (WA) Curtis Senior
2024 On3 Consensus: No. 27

Zoom Diallo is a long-armed, broad-shouldered lead guard out of the Pacific Northwest. He plays with a good pace, can make pull-up jumpers, and shows good floor vision. Arizona was Diallo’s first official visit, back in September. He also visited Florida State in October and has a visit set up to Gonzaga on the 14th of this month.
