Elite SG Joson Sanon commits to Arizona Wildcats, expected to reclassify to 2024
One of the nation’s best guards is heading to Tucson.
Vermont Academy four-star shooting guard Joson Sanon has committed to the Arizona Wildcats according to ESPN’s Jonathan Givony. Sanon also told ESPN that he plans to reclassify to the 2024 recruiting class.
“They play off a lot of ball screens like we do at Vermont Academy,” Sanon told On3 earlier this year. “They teach their players to be smart with the ball and make good decisions. Watching their practice was great, they keep the intensity really high and everything is done fast. I like the spacing they play with, you have a lot of room to make your plays and do what you got to do.”

Scouting Report
“Joson Sanon has a basketball player’s frame, with long arms and wide-set shoulders. His pace is excellent, Sanon is never rushed with the ball. At 6-5, he has a pure jump shot with range beyond the arc. He is comfortable shooting off the bounce or the catch, keeping his mechanics consistent throughout. Sanon is a good athlete with explosion and burst. He has the upside to be a good defender, both on and off the ball. Sanon has a solid handle, comfortable getting to the midrange off one and two dribbles. Sanon is tracking among the top in his class.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
