Arizona is trending to land three-star Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) linebacker Stacy Bey, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

Bey decommitted from San Diego State after taking an official visit to Tucson last weekend. He had initially committed to the Aztecs back in March.

Arizona currently has a 99.4% chance to land Bey per the RPM. On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons logged an expert prediction in favor of the Wildcats on Friday.

Bey is the nation’s No. 844 overall prospect and No. 79 linebacker in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 60 player in California.

The 6-foot-0, 215-pound Bey does not currently have a publicly listed On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Arizona looking to add to solid class

Arizona’s recruiting class currently ranks No. 45 in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe Catholic five-star EDGE Elijah Rushing headlines the class as one of three blue-chip prospects pledged to the Wildcats. He’s joined by Long Beach (Calif.) Jordan four-star running back Jordan Washington and Chandler (Ariz.) Basha four-star quarterback Demond Williams Jr.

“It’s different from the past few years,” Rushing told On3’s Chad Simmons in May. “They’re starting to make the right decisions and they’re moving up. I know they’re going in the right direction. That’s what I can see. They’re going in the right direction with the right coaches there that can really bring the program out of wherever it was at before.”

Rushing is the nation’s No. 31 overall prospect and No. 5 edge rusher in the On3 Industry Ranking. Arizona is one of 15 schools to have received a commitment from a five-star prospect.
