The recruitment of Buford (Ga.) freshman linebacker Jadon Perlotte is underway. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound freshman picked up his first offer on Friday from Arkansas.

The Hogs were about an hour away from Perlotte’s hometown to face Georgia this weekend.

Perlotte already has intrigue in the Razorbacks from watching them from afar as a young football player.

“It feels great, super excited,” Perlotte said. “I feel like Arkansas would be in my top ten, I really like their linebacker coach.”

Perlotte plays for the 6A powerhouse Buford. He has multiple teammates destined for the next level. His first college offer acts as a motivator and a validator for Perlotte.

“They feel as if I’m worthy of being a part of the conversation when talking about SEC caliber talent and to me that means a lot,” Perlotte said. “This makes me want to work harder and continue to get better… I’ll work until I’m the best athlete in the nation.”

Perlotte was in Athens on Saturday to watch Georgia and Arkansas play. He had the trip planned before he picked up the offer from the Razorbacks. Perlotte had to change his viewing perspective as a result.

He came away impressed with a few aspects to the Razorbacks despite the 37-0 decision.

“It was Crazy, Arkansas had a couple of mistakes, but they still are very good, I really liked watching them,” Perlotte said. “I still feel as if they are a top program, with the recent addition of coach pitman they will be on National championship status soon.”

Perlotte was also impressed by the atmosphere in Athens as well. He hasn’t been offered by the Bulldogs yet but enjoyed the experience.

“The atmosphere in Athens is amazing,” Perlotte said. “The Georgia fans are crazy, and It was very cool to experience it.”
