Pine Bluff (Ark.) Wilbur D. Mills four-star defensive lineman Charleston Collins committed to Arkansas on April 21. Now with 10 days to go until National Signing Day, Collins has confirmed that he’s going nowhere.

“Over this last year it’s been a long process and I’m blessed to be in the situation,” Collins wrote on social media. “To all the schools that recruited me I really appreciate your belief in me as a person and as a player but with that being said… “ITS OVER”! I’m 1000% committed to The University of Arkansas!!!!”

Collins is the nation’s No. 80 overall prospect and No. 11 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. On3 rates Collins higher than the other major recruiting services, ranking him No. 66 overall in the 2024 class.

“It’s home,” Collins told On3 in April. “Me choosing to stay in-state is giving me an opportunity to be the voice and image of my home state. As a kid, everybody growing up wanted to be that man. I feel that me staying home and representing my state and knowing that I have the whole state behind me is going to be something special.”

Collins said the ‘family vibe’ at Arkansas was a primary reason for going back again and again.

“That’s one reason I kept going back: it’s a family vibe,” Collins said. “Everybody knows me, everybody knows my family, everybody knows my siblings. There are no name tags. It’s genuine love from the food, to the people, to the town of Fayetteville itself.”

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $112K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
