4-star WR Courtney Crutchfield decommits from Arkansas
Pine Bluff (Ark.) four-star wide receiver Courtney Crutchfield has decommitted from Arkansas. He was pledged to the Razorbacks since April 21.
Crutchfield is the No. 114 overall prospect and No. 21 wideout in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
“After thorough thinking and praying, I have decided to re-open my recruitment and decommit from the University of Arkansas,” Crutchfield wrote. “You get one recruitment process and I want to take the time to carefully consider all of my options without restriction. I have the utmost respect for the Arkansas staff and appreciate them for everything. I have been blessed with several opportunities to play football and continue my education at some great universities. I hope that everyone will respect my decision as I do what is best for me and my family.”
He has an On3 NIL Valuation of $114K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
Arkansas still possesses top-25 recruiting class
With Crutchfield now out of the fold in Sam Pittman’s 2024 recruiting class, Arkansas has 18 pledges in its class — which ranks No. 22 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking.

Headlining the class is Pine Bluff (Ark.) Wilbur D Mills four-star defensive lineman Charleston Collins, the No. 84 overall prospect and No. 13 DL in the cycle. Collins is now one of just three top-200 prospects in the class, alongside Temple (Texas) Lake Belton four-star cornerback Selman Bridges and Missouri City (Texas) Ridge Point four-star WR Ashton Bethel-Roman.
The loss of Crutchfield also means there are now just five in-state pledges for the Hogs. Behind Collins, Benton four-star running back Braylen Russell highlights the Arkansas natives in the class. Searcy Harding Academy three-star linebacker Wyatt Simmons, Bentonville three-star WR CJ Brown and Fort Smith Southside three-star interior offensive lineman Kobe Branham are the other in-state pledges for Pittman and Co.
Other top commits for the Razorbacks include Leeds (Ala.) four-star DL Kavion Henderson, Batesville (Miss.) South Panola four-star LB Julius Pope, Montgomery (Ala.) St. James three-star QB KJ Jackson and Marietta (Ga.) Kell three-star LB Justin Logan.
