Adou Thiero injury update: Troubling news emerges on Arkansas forward ahead of Texas matchup

Arkansas junior Adou Thiero suffered a hyperextension in his left knee in the second half of the Missouri game (Feb. 22). He is listed as out for their game against Texas on Wednesday evening (Feb. 26) and will continue to be evaluated, according to the Razorbacks Twitter page.
Surgery is not expected. And there is no timetable yet for his return. He’s been one of the Hogs’ biggest stars in the 2024-2025 campaign, stuffing the stat sheet with 15.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. He also has been shooting 54.8% from the field, while drilling 26.2% of his three-pointers.
Arkansas currently sits at 16-11 overall and 5-9 in the SEC. The Hogs and Texas are set to tangle on Wednesday evening at 8:00 PM.
Thiero averaged 7.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in 2023-24 for the Kentucky Wildcats. He shot 49.2 percent from the field and 80 percent from the free throw line.
Thiero officially entered the portal March 28 and cut his list to five schools, including a potential return to Kentucky. He also considered Arkansas, Indiana and North Carolina, in addition to Pitt, On3’s Joe Tipton confirmed in late April.
