Arkansas and Missouri are locked in a tight contest, with only one point separating the two at halftime and the second half providing more of the same. A monster dunk by Anthony Black in the second half gave Arkansas the lead once more.

It also silenced the home crowd quite a bit.

Black raced forward in the open floor, received a dish from a teammate and sent it thundering home on the finish to put Arkansas up 49-47. Check out the highlight-reel dunk below.

Arkansas managed to maintain a slight edge in the first half in an otherwise competitive contest, even with Missouri held in check offensively early on.

Dennis Gates wants to keep Arkansas off the free-throw line

One thing Tigers coach Dennis Gates wanted to see from his team in the Arkansas – Missouri contest was the Razorbacks not getting to the free-throw line easily.

No cheap fouls.

“We just have to keep them off the free throw line,” Gates told the SEC Network broadcast crew at halftime. “I thought the ones that they got they didn’t earn.”

Still, no problem. As long as the Tigers keep responding to the Razorback blows — including dunks like Black’s — they’ll be content.

“We got off to a slow start,” Gates told the SEC Network broadcast crew at halftime. “I thought our guys settled into the gameplan. We were able to get some easy baskets. Mo Diarra was unbelievable coming off the bench, as well as Aidan Shaw. So those guys did a great job.”
