WATCH: Arkansas AD fires off shot at SEC officiating in Alabama loss

Arkansas athletics director Hunter Yurachek subtly expressed his displeasure with SEC officiating on Saturday in a tweet. However, there was nothing subtle about his live reaction on the sideline as bad calls came in against his Razorbacks versus Alabama.
“Disappointed for everyone in the Razorback locker room,” Yurachek wrote. “Played and coached their hearts out; earned and deserved better. Two years in a row leaving this State with a bad taste in my mouth. Proud today and every day to be an Arkansas Razorback.”
However, on the sideline, camera crews caught Yurachek yelling things like, “What the hell are you looking at,” at the officials.
The clip above is from one of the many questionable calls made on Saturday. Razorbacks running back Dominique Johnson charged the endzone for a score and despite crossing the plane of the goal line, officials waited for a review to call it a touchdown.
Later in the game, the officials called a touchdown for Jameson Williams, although his possession of the football before skidding out of bounds was questionable. The Hogs fell 42-35, their closest margin of loss versus Bama since 2014.
Arkansas fans were also in an uproar over the officiating on 3rd down spots. They think a little Alabama bias helped the Crimson Tide move the sticks, and Auburn quarterback Bo Nix agreed.
Nix backs Hogs on SEC officiating
Auburn quarterback Bo Nix just took a serious shot at SEC officiating. Following Saturday’s SEC matchup between Alabama and Arkansas, Nix insinuated that officials were favoring Alabama in the game. Nix said that there were some questionable calls during the game that went in Alabama’s favor, raising questions about bias in officiating.

“Just a few of those obviously controversial calls that were in that game raises some questions for sure,” Nix said of SEC officiating after Saturday’s game between Alabama and Arkansas. “I guess unless you’re an Alabama fan. But that’s just part of the game. We’ve discussed it over and over and over. That’s not gonna change no matter what happens.
“I think legitimately you can watch the game and anybody unbiased will think that something is different,” Nix said when asked if SEC officiating favors Alabama. “It is what it is. It’s kind of how it’s always been. But that’s part of the game. But they have good players. You can’t take that away from them.”
Unfortunately for Nix, his season is done after he suffered a season-ending broken ankle in Auburn’s game against Mississippi State. He will miss the final two games of the regular season.
Bo Nix’s support for Arkansas in this instance is ironic. Razorback fans believe the quarterback and Auburn benefitted from poor officiating in last year’s battle between the two teams.
Nix mishandled a snap at the end of the game, seemingly recovered by Arkansas, but refs called it intentional grounding. Auburn kicked a game-winning field goal with 18 seconds left in the game to knock off the Razorbacks 30-28.
