Arkansas AD takes shot at former head coach Bobby Petrino
Arkansas athletic director Hunter Yurachek has had quite the eventful day with some of it coming at former Razorback head coach Bobby Petrino’s expense.
First, he gashed his nose up after getting cleated at an Arkansas football scrimmage. Then, he took a shot at Petrino using the aforementioned cleating.
Check out his tweet below after getting cleated earlier today.
Ouch. Looks like he took a pretty brutal gash across his nose.
Ironically enough, Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman mentioned toughness in a pre-scrimmage speech to the team. The speech was mentioned above by Yurachek in his tweet. Fortunately for Yurachek, the injury doesn’t appear to be serious.
Hunter Yurachek’s twitter shot at Bobby Petrino
This evening, he’s taking shots at former Arkansas head football coach Bobby Petrino. Take a look at the tweet below. It shows the video of him getting cleated and it doesn’t look pretty.
In the tweet, mentioning the motorcycle is referencing former head coach Bobby Petrino’s famous motorcycle accident.
The accident would eventually lead to Petrino’s dismissal from Arkansas in April of 2012.
When Petrino crashed on his motorcycle, he reportedly was with Jessica Dorrell, a former Arkansas athletic department employee who was the student-athlete development coordinator for football.
After the crash, Petrino tried to lie about Dorrell being on the back of the motorcycle, but eventually, word got out that he had lied.

Petrino’s face was gashed up after the motorcycle incident very much like Hunter Yurachek’s today.
Arkansas football outlook: 2021
The Arkansas offense returns one of the best receivers in the SEC in junior Treylon Burks. Listed at an imposing 6-foot-3, 225 pounds, Burks’ size will present a matchup problem for the majority of corners in college football. In 2020, Burks hauled in 51 catches for 820 yards and 7 touchdowns. The Arkansas native averaged over 16 yards per catch last season.
The Razorbacks return dual-threat sophomore quarterback K.J. Jefferson. Jefferson only played 87 snaps in 2020, but flashed glimpses of excitement into his future. He put up the most passing yards by an Arkansas freshman quarterback since 2008. The Mississippi native also became the first quarterback to throw for two or more touchdowns and rush for a score in SEC play since 2017.
Jefferson was a highly touted prospect when he signed with Arkansas, as he was rated a four-star prospect by Rivals.com, 247sports.com, and ESPN. He was ranked as the fourth best dual-threat quarterback in America, according to 247sports.com. He chose Arkansas over Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss, and others.
