Arkansas announces season-ending injury for Trevon Brazile
A season-ending injury for Trevon Brazile will take away one of Arkansas‘ most promising players on the hardwood for the 2022-23 season.
Arkansas announced the news on Brazile’s injury in a press release, according to Jon Rothstein of College Hoops Today. The sophomore forward had one of the early highlight dunks of the season in November, and he’s been one of the most exciting players to watch in college basketball so far this season.
He suffered a knee injury on Tuesday night in a 65-58 win over UNC Greensboro.
Brazile landed awkwardly and fell to the floor in pain, grabbing his right knee. He was helped off the court by a pair of trainers and taken to the locker room, unable to put any weight on his injured leg.
Before his injury, Brazile had averaged 11.8 points and 6.0 rebounds per game for the Razorbacks. He had also logged 1.2 blocks, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals per contest.

At the start of the second half, Trevon Brazile was seen rejoining his teammates on the bench.
“More bad news for Arkansas: Trevon Brazile will not return to this game,” broadcaster Tom Hart said. “We’re told the injury is not one that will be long-term, but perhaps more information coming postgame from Eric Musselman.”
A three-star recruit out of Parkview High School in Springfield, Missouri, Brazile committed to play for Missouri and started 23 games for the Tigers his true freshman season. He transferred to Arkansas in the offseason and has since taken on a bench role with the Razorbacks this season.
Brazile led the team in rebounding, while he ranked fourth on the team in scoring prior to his season-ending injury.
