Arkansas landed Jesup (Ga.) Wayne County four-star linebacker Tavion Wallace on Tuesday in what came as a bit of a shock.

Wallace chose the Razorbacks over Florida State, Georgia and Florida — and celebration from Arkansas faithful was not limited to the fans.

Razorbacks defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Travis Williams posted his reaction to the shocking commitment on social media.

Wallace is the No. 57 overall prospect and No. 3 linebacker in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 10 player in Georgia.

The 6-foot-1, 216-pound Wallace is the No. 44 overall prospect and No. 3 linebacker in the 2025 On300. He’s also the No. 7 recruit in Georgia.

Arkansas has been a consistent presence in Wallace’s recruitment. Defensive coordinator Travis Williams and head coach Sam Pittman have developed serious relationships with the blue-chipper over time, and Wallace was impressed by his time in Fayetteville.

“I never thought I would consider them in any way possible, but you know T-Will, that’s my dog and when I took my first OV out there I was like ‘it’s going to be nothing but country living,’ but when I went up there I fell in love with it,” Wallace said. “Coach Pittman, that’s my dog. Coach (Jake) Trump and the players around, if I went there it would be because of the people, the atmosphere and the culture and the things they’re doing around there.”

Tavion Wallace Scouting Summary

On3’s Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power writes this about Wallace as a prospect:

“One of the most athletic defensive prospects in the 2025 recruiting cycle who consistently flashes on the film with his explosiveness and ability to detonate ball carriers. Long speed for the linebacker position is rare. Member of his high school’s 400 and 800 meter relay teams during his sophomore track and field season. Ran an incredible 10.84 100m and an equally impressive 22.44 200m during his freshman track and field season. Unverified size but listed at 6-foot-1, 200 pounds. Will need to add mass throughout his frame but has an excellent build in order to sit at 220-225 pounds as a freshman in college. If he can carry the extra weight and maintain his burst and top-end speed his ceiling is limitless. Should be one of the more sought after players in the entire country.”
