Arkansas offensive lineman Ricky Stromberg has played an integral role for the Razorbacks the last three years. He made an announcement Friday that will make Hogs fans happy.

Stromberg is not entering the 2022 draft and coming back for his senior year, he annnounced on Twitter.

“I am to glorify Jesus for the position that I am in today,” Stromberg wrote on Twitter. “I love the state of Arkansas and our great fan base so much. I love my teammates and coaches that always have my back and I will always have [theirs]. For those reasons, I have decided to return for my senior year and forego the 2022 NFL Draft.”

Stromberg was a second team All-SEC nominee this season for Arkansas, which finished 8-4 this season. He’s also one of the highest graded centers on Pro Football Focus.

Arkansas is getting ready to take on Penn State in the Outback Bowl on New Year’s Day.

Arkansas wide receiver Treylon Burks declares for NFL Draft

Stromberg’s decision comes two days after Arkansas wide receiver Treylon Burks decided his future.

Burks announced on Wednesday that he is going to enter early into the 2022 NFL Draft. Burks, the Razorbacks’ top wideout over the last three seasons, is a projected first-round pick for this year’s draft.

“I have had many restless nights praying and talking with my family regarding this decision,” Burks wrote. “With that being said I have decided to opt out of the bowl game, forego my senior season and declare for the NFL draft.

To the amazing fans of this great state, I know no matter where I go in this world you will always be in my heart and I hope I will always be in yours.”

Burks early decision means he will miss Arkansas’s bowl game, the Outback Bowl, versus Penn State.

Burks was Arkansas’ top receiver this year with 1,123 and 11 touchdowns to help the Razorbacks to an 8-4 record. His biggest game came against Alabama when he had eight catches for 179 yards and two touchdowns as Arkansas fell to the Crimson Tide 42-35.

The Razorbacks are getting ready for the Outback Bowl against Penn State. Kickoff is coming up on New Year’s Day at noon ET.
