Arkansas forward Zvonimir Ivisic plans to enter NCAA Transfer Portal

Arkansas forward Zvonimir Ivisic plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, per On3’s Joe Tipton. He only spent one season at Arkansas after following John Calipari to the Razorbacks from Kentucky.
In his lone campaign in Fayetteville, Ivisic made 35 appearances and 19 starts. He averaged 8.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 19.1 minutes per game. He shot 47.3% from the field and 37.6% from beyond the arc.
It was a tumultuous season for Ivisic, who received significant playing time early into the season. However, Ivisic saw less action once Arkansas entered conference play, going four consecutive games without playing more than 10 minutes.
Alas, Ivisic eventually retained his spot in Arkansas’ rotation and regularly played 25 minutes per game until the regular-season finale. Then, once again, Ivisic’s playing time slipped, and he ultimately played just 26 combined minutes over the Razorbacks’ three NCAA Tournament games. Calipari normally pointed to Ivisic’s defense when asked about the big man’s lack of minutes.
“The reason I didn’t play Z more?” Calipari said after Arkansas’ loss to Texas A&M on Feb. 15. “If you were watching the game, why didn’t I play him more? Just so I need to know if you were really watching the game. So, he got scored on, got scored on, got scored on. He didn’t block. He doesn’t block. Then I’ve got to go with the other guy.”
Ivisic also had an odd season in his debut collegiate campaign at Kentucky last year. Ivisic missed the beginning of the season due to the NCAA initially refusing to grant him eligibility.

However, in his first game for the Wildcats, Ivisc grabbed the nation’s attention, rattling off 13 points, five rebounds and three blocks on 3-4 shooting from 3-point range against Georgia. While Ivisic occasionally enjoyed other solid showings throughout the season, illness constantly set him back.
Now, Ivisic will look to reach his potential in a new environment. Ivisic’s twin brother, Tomislav, made his collegiate debut this season at Illinois, where he was the starting center.
Zvonimir Ivisic stands at 7-foot-2 and is relatively mobile for his size. He’s not on every expert’s draft board but On3 draft expert James Fletcher III listed Ivisic as the No. 74 NBA prospect in college this season.
