WATCH: Arkansas guard Ricky Council IV gets a steal and sends in a reverse dunk vs San Diego State in Maui Invitational Championship
The Arkansas Razorbacks are loaded with blue-chip players and have one of the most athletic rosters in all of college basketball. That was on fine display in the Maui Invitational Championship on Wednesday night, when Razorbacks guard Ricky Council IV got a steal in the second half against San Diego State, then decided to show off with a reverse dunk after he went coast-to-coast in the open floor.

Council scored 18 of his 19 points in the second half for the Razorbacks. The two teams were battling it out for third place in the Maui Jim Maui Invitational Championship, but it didn’t seem like it. There was tremendous effort from both teams throughout the closing parts of the second half and in overtime.

Arkansas clawed their way back to pull out the win
San Diego State was giving Arkansas everything they could handle and more in Maui. The Aztecs led by eight points with 5:21 remaining in the second half. Council also had a number of clutch buckets in the closing minutes of the second half and in overtime. He dished out four assists but had three turnovers.
Arkansas cut the San Diego State lead to 61-59 with 3:48 remaining in the second half. The Hogs clawed their way back into it and were able to send the game to overtime, 67-67, after Kamani Johnson grabbed a rebound and put in the game-tying bucket in the closing seconds of regulation.

Johnson iced the game for Arkansas in overtime, when he drilled two clutch free throws with 3.7 seconds left to put the Hogs up 78-74. That would end up being the final score as the Razorbacks prevailed to finish third place in the tournament.
Trevon Brazile poured in 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Hogs and received Player of the Game honors from the ESPN2 broadcast crew.
The win pushed Arkansas’ overall record to 5-1 this season. They’re going to be an exciting team to watch all season long since they are loaded with a jaw-dropping amount of talent and athleticism.
