Arkansas threatened to end their game against Texas A&M on Tuesday with a flourish as Ricky Council IV showed off a highlight-reel dunk late. After one of the Razorbacks’ 13 blocks on the night, Council received an outlet pass with a step ahead of the defense.

He turned his free lane to the rim into a clutch and reverse two-handed slam worthy of the dunk contest — igniting the crowd as they attempted to close out against the Aggies.

The combination of Council’s athleticism, the creative finish and the inspired defense played by the Razorbacks all game long was enough to set the crowd off with the game coming down the stretch. Shortly after his dunk, an Aggie player was sent to the free throw line after a foul call — giving the fans time to break into a chant of “Aggies suck” before the free throw was taken.

Unfortunately, Texas A&M responded in a big way by making the free shot and stealing the ball back on the very next possession. Finishing the steal with a thunderous dunk of their own, the Aggies didn’t waste much time to get revenge and cut their deficit down some more.

When the final whistle sounded however, Arkansas completed the big win with an 81-70 score and moved into a 3-5 conference record on the season — and more importantly keeping their chances as a team in the March Madness bracket afloat.
