Arkansas LB Brad Spence plans to enter NCAA transfer portal
Arkansas linebacker Brad Spence plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Spence just wrapped up his second season with the program, being a contributor for the Razorbacks in 2024. He will now look to continue his career elsewhere, hitting the open market.
Spence has played in 23 games throughout his career and five of them have been starts. In total, there are 70 tackles, 7.5 tackles for a loss, and 4.5 sacks on record. You can add a pass breakup and pick six Spencer had as a true freshman in the season opener against Western Carolina.
Depending on the system, Spence can be considered an EDGE as well. He is listed just under 6-2 and 225 pounds, a good size when going up against SEC tackles. Some position versatility may be there for whatever program winds up landing Spence.
Add in some production against quality opponents and he should be an attractive player on the market. Coming out of high school, Arkansas was joined by Cal and Texas in a top three. Of course, the Razorbacks wound up winning the recruitment at the time.
Spence played high school football at Houston (TX) Klein Forest, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 847 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Arkansas loses offensive lineman to NCAA transfer portal
Arkansas offensive lineman Ty’kieast Crawford is in the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. Crawford began his college career at Charlotte.
A Class of 2020 signee, Crawford will have one year of eligibility remaining. He was a four-star recruit as a high school prospect.
Crawford spent the 2020 season at Charlotte before transferring and playing at Arkansas from 2021-24.
With the 49ers, Crawford played in six games and made three starts. That season didn’t count toward his eligibility as it was during the Covid-19 pandemic.
