Arkansas linebacker Andrew Parker announces intentions for 2022 season
Arkansas linebacker Andrew Parker, Jr. has officially announced he will enter the transfer portal, he announced on his Twitter page on Thursday afternoon. He will have two years of eligibility remaining in his college football career.
He wrote:
“First and foremost, I would like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for blessing me with the athletic ability I have today.”
“I want to thank Coach Chad Morris, Coach John Chavis, and Coach Ron Cooper for bringing me in to be a Hog,” Parker wrote. “I would also like to thank Coach (Sam) Pittman and his staff for the support and continued development throughout my time here.”
“To my teammates, I am beyond blessed to have met every one of you and I will always cherish the memories that we’ve made. Thank you hog nation for all of the support through thick and thin that you have shared, I am appreciative of it all. This decision has been one of the hardest I’ve had to make in my young life.”
“With that being said, I have entered the transfer portal with plans to be a graduate transfer after this semester with 2 years of eligibility remaining.”

“The story is still being written–Andrew Parker“
Parker has served in a backup role since he’s been at Arkansas, but he was expecting to compete for starting minutes next season after the Hogs lost Grant Morgan and Hayden Henry. Parker would have had to beat out incoming transfer portal prospect Drew Sanders.
In transferring away from Arkansas, Parker is the fourth Louisiana player on their roster to leave the program, joining Joe Foucha, Devin Bush, and Greg Brooks.
According to Pro Football Focus, Parker played 65 defensive snaps last season, 63 on kickoff return, 45 on punt return and five on kickoff coverage.
A former three-star prospect coming out of high school, he chose Arkansas over Texas, Texas A&M, TCU, Ole Miss, and others.
