Arkansas moves up to No. 17 in On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings

Sam Pittman’s Arkansas staff is continuing to put together one of the best Razorbacks recruiting classes in recent years.
Following the commitment of Ridge Point (Missouri City, Texas) four-star wide receiver Ashton Bethel-Roman, Arkansas’ 2024 class moved up four spots to No. 17 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
“One of the biggest reasons why was because it felt like home,” Bethel-Roman told On3. “Coach (Kenny Guiton) and Coach (Sam Pittman) were the biggest factors in that. I’d think of Coach Pitt like a grandpa and Coach Kenny as that loud uncle … they just felt like family … not to mention the rest of the staff and even the community around Fayetteville that all tied into that.”
“They had those family features about them and honestly talking with coach Pitt is mind-boggling,” Bethel-Roman continued. “You look and think he’s some mean guy, but in all honesty, he’s the funniest guy in the room and he always shoots you straight. Coach Kenny feels like he’s been my coach for years so that just goes to show how our connection is.”
Bethel-Roman is the No. 101 overall prospect and No. 17 wide receiver in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking. He is rated higher by On3 than any other recruiting service, according to the On3 Industry Comparison. He is the No. 83 recruit and No. 12 wide receiver per the 2024 On300.

Arkansas brings in sixth blue-chip prospect
The 6-foot-0.5, 160-pound receiver is the sixth blue-chip prospect to join the Razorbacks’ 2024 class. Wilbur D. Mills (Pine Bluff, Ark.) top-100 defensive lineman Charleston Collins committed to Arkansas in April along with Pine Bluff (Ark.) four-star athlete Courtney Crutchfield.
“It’s home,” Collins told On3 in April. “Me choosing to stay in-state is giving me an opportunity to be the voice and image of my home state. As a kid, everybody growing up wanted to be that man. I feel that me staying home and representing my state and knowing that I have the whole state behind me is going to be something special.”
Arkansas sits between future SEC opponents Texas and Oklahoma in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Ahead of the Razorbacks in the SEC for the 2024 cycle are Georgia, Florida, Alabama, LSU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, South Carolina and the Longhorns. Their class holds a current score of 89.358 and an average rating per commit of 89.08.
