Altamonte Springs (Fla.) Lake Brantley four-star linebacker Michael Harris received an offer from Arkansas on Saturday night. He announced the news over social media.

Harris is the No. 355 overall prospect and No. 31 linebacker in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 66 player in Florida.

The 6-foot-0, 185-pound recruit and his brother — Altamonte Springs (Fla.) Lake Brantley four-star linebacker Andrew Harris — were previously committed to UCF. They backed off their pledges to the Knights on Dec. 18.

During hotel check-in for the Under Armour All-America Game, Harris spoke about their interest in the Razorbacks due to defensive coordinator Travis Williams. He previously served in the same position at UCF before joining head coach Sam Pittman‘s program.

“We really had a father figure bond with him,” Harris said. “He was really one of the main reasons why we committed to UCF.”

Harris added that he and Andrew “might” be taking an official visit to Arkansas. At the time, he shared that no trip to Fayetteville had been scheduled.

The Razorbacks’ 2023 recruiting class currently contains two linebackers. They are Oxford (Miss.) three-star Alex Sanford and USF transfer Antonio Grier.

Harris has an On3 NIL Valuation of $13.5K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
