Arkansas QB Taylen Green injured vs. Ole Miss
Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green was injured in the first quarter of their game against Ole Miss following a 14 yard run.
Green had to be helped up to his feet and was walking gingerly towards the sideline with assistance. It also looked like Green fumbled on the play, but he was ruled down before losing possession.
It appeared Green had his left leg caught underneath a defender while being tackled. He did not come back in during the possession.
Arkansas trailed Ole Miss 7-0 with 5:28 to go in the first quarter at the time of the injury. Freshman Malachi Singleton came in relief on the drive which was in Ole Miss territory.
At that point, Green was two-of-three passing for 38 yards and had four carries for 23 yards. He would return to the game early in the second quarter with Ole Miss maintaining a 14-3 lead.
Coming into the game, Green had 2,056 yards, 11 touchdowns, seven interceptions and a 60.6% completion percentage. He also had 395 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns.

Following a field goal, Green was seen jogging on the sideline trying to work out his injury. But as ESPN sideline reporter Quint Kessenich said on the broadcast, Green’s appearance was “not very good.”
Taylen Green injured against Ole Miss
This is not the first time Green was injured. Back in early October, he had to exit the game against Tennessee with Singleton finishing off the upset.
“Taylen you know, we’ll see. Obviously, it wasn’t as bad as for us not to ask him how he felt,” head coach Sam Pittman said at the time. “Our diagnosis for him was if he wanted to get back in the game, we could, then he got tackled again, and then we just said, Okay, that’s enough. Let’s put Malachi in. Malachi, when he came in, we didn’t have great field position, so Bobby was trying to take care of that along with the field position. So, you know, if Bobby just calls what he wants to call on offense there, we’re usually pretty good. I think it’s part of that was, you know, making sure Malachi, we got a little confidence there.
“And then the last two drives, he was phenomenal. He ran it very well. And, you know, scored the touchdown there to go ahead. And he’d been here a long time and hadn’t got to play, and to go in there and score the winning touchdown, with the help of 10 other guys, has to be really fulfilling for him. I’m really happy for him.”
