Arkansas receiver Jaedon Wilson will miss the remainder of spring practice after being involved in a car accident on Tuesday. Razorbacks coach Sam Pittman provided the update in a press conference after the fourth spring practice, revealing that Wilson cracked his tibia in the wreck.

“Everything is perfectly fine with him, so I don’t want to scare anybody,” Pittman began. “He was in a car accident today. He was very, very lucky that nothing was wrong with him more than he cracked his tibia. So he will be on crutches for about 10 days and then he will be back. I think that’s maybe about a six-week deal after that. So he’ll be through with spring ball.

“But I’ll tell you if you saw the cars in that, we just thank the Lord that nothing worse happened. I don’t believe anybody was hurt in the other vehicle as well.”

A former three-star recruit, Jaedon Wilson is set to enter his third season with Arkansas. In 2022, he recorded three catches for 49 yards across eight games.

Wilson ranked as the No. 501 overall prospect and No. 73 receiver in the 2021 class according to On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

With the Razorbacks losing their top four receivers from a year ago, Wilson was one of many wideouts expected to compete for an expanded role in 2023. Pittman even mentioned him among a group of players who have stood out to him prior to the start of spring practice. Unfortunately, due to the car accident, he will have to wait until the fall begins to prove himself worthy of a starting job.

Arkansas will continue spring practice for the next month before holding its annual spring game on April 15.
