Arkansas safety Myles Slusher has left the program, the CBS broadcast confirmed Friday. He did not travel with the team to Missouri.
Slusher, a junior, reportedly left the team earlier in the week, according to Pig Trail Nation. He appeared in six games this season, totaling 28 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks for the Razorbacks.
In a now-deleted tweet, Slusher responded to a report saying he “quit” the team.

“Quitt??” Slusher wrote. “If anybody know me fr I put people before myself before anything. Always been that way ain’t never been selfish always a team player in all phases of life. Everything ain’t always what it seem. Can the people yall praise in life say the same? #lastresponse”
As a recruit, Slusher was a four-star prospect and the No. 170 overall recruit from the class of 2020, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

While Pittman’s squad may already be bowl eligible, the coach recognizes that a lot could change for the better with another victory on their resume.
“I think so, I mean we’ve got a lot to play for,” Pittman said about if the Razorbacks could match the Tigers’ intensity level on Saturday. “There’s a lot of differences in 7-5, 6-6 bowl-wise. Obviously if we can get to No. 4 in the conference, like we were last year. The top half of the conference, like we did a year ago. I think simply because it’s our rival game is a big deal, and we haven’t beaten them there since we’ve joined the SEC. I think there’s a lot of things, like we haven’t beaten them back to back.
“I think there’s just a lot of things that we have to play for, and our kids understand that and we talked about it last night.”
