Arkansas WR Jordan Anthony wins SEC track and field 60-meter title

Arkansas football receiver Jordan Anthony claimed the SEC 60-meter title at the conference’s indoor track and field championships on Saturday. Jordan ran a time of 6.54 seconds to beat out the other competitors.
Anthony played for the Razorbacks this past season after transferring from Texas A&M, finishing with eight catches for 111 yard and a touchdown. You can view his winning sprint below.
Anthony narrowly edged out Isreal Okon (6.55 seconds) of Auburn to claim the victory. His time also set a school record in the event for Arkansas.
He wasn’t the only Razorback to come out of the weekend with a victory as Rueben Reina won the mile with a time of 4:03.23. Rivaldo Marshall collected a bronze medal in the 800-meter with a time of 1:48.31.
Arkansas finished just shy of the team victory, coming in second place for the event behind Texas A&M. The Razorbacks had a silver medal finish in the 4 x 400m relay, clocking 3:04.28 to place behind a 3:03.09 for Texas A&M.
Jordan Anthony is getting ready to enter his redshirt junior season at Arkansas in 2025. Perhaps he can use his speed to play an even bigger role after appearing in 12 games with one start this past year.
Anthony played high school football at Tylertown (MS) High School, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 345 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.
Additionally, he was named the Gatorade Mississippi Track and Field Boys Athlete of the Year as a senior in 2022.

Landon Jackson, Shemar Stewart enter elite NFL Combine group, bodes well for Draft
Landon Jackson and Shemar Stewart entered rarefied air at the 2025 NFL Draft Combine in Indianapolis on Thursday.
Both DLs now rank within the top four highest vertical jump totals in NFL Combine history among defensive linemen over 260 pounds. Myles Garrett‘s 41-inch vertical (2017) remains a Combine record, but Jackson tied Mario Williams (2006) with a 40.5-inch vertical jump. Stewart jumped a flat 40 inches during his attempt.
“That is an impressive company,” NFL Network’s Stacey Dales said during the Combine. “I was talking to [Jackson] and asked what was his target. He said he’d be happy if he touched 38. He touched 40.5, and then just on Shemar Stewart — he said this week ‘If you don’t pick me, just know I’m going to bring hell to your city.’
“I asked him five things to impress upon teams since you’ve been here. One was set edges, two were to fill gaps. Three, pursue the ball, four, discipline and disrupting the line of scrimmage. The last one was putting other people in a position to have success. Those two guys are so impressive so far.”
Jackson, a product of Arkansas, is expected to be one of the first defensive ends taken in April’s draft, and his Combine performance is only helping his case. This past season, he logged 49 tackles and led the team with 6.5 sacks and was a second-team All-SEC selection.
He spent three seasons with the Razorbacks before turning pro. He totaled 116 tackles during that time, including 16 sacks and a pair of forced fumbles.
