2024 4-star DL Charleston Collins returning to Arkansas

Pine Bluff (Ark.) four-star defensive lineman Charleston Collins announced Friday that he is visiting Arkansas this weekend. It will mark his sixth trip to see the Razorbacks and fourth since September.
Collins is the No. 248 overall prospect and No. 20 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 3 player in Arkansas.
On3 rates Collins higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 132 overall prospect, No. 10 defensive lineman and No. 2 player in Arkansas.
“Every time I have visited Arkansas, it’s really been a family-type vibe from them,” Collins told On3’s Chad Simmons on Sept. 8. “It hasn’t just been one coach recruiting me. It’s really been the whole staff from Coach Sam Pittman down.”
“The message I took from the coaching staff is their will to fight til the end,” he added following the Razorbacks’ win over Cincinnati in September. “You must play Arkansas all four quarters. By beating a team that was in the playoffs last year makes a statement to everyone else on their schedule.”
The 6-foot-4, 257-pound prospect announced his top 12 schools last month. They are Oregon, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Miami, Tennessee, Michigan State, Alabama, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Georgia and Florida State.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, LSU has a commanding lead for his commitment at 96%. Collins has made three visits to Baton Rouge, most recently on Nov. 5.
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
Collins has an On3 NIL Valuation of $9.5K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
