Eric Musselman gives incredible update on Trevon Brazile's recovery following surgery
Arkansas forward Trevon Brazile attacked his rehab in the right way following his torn ACL earlier this season. The transfer was expected to be a big part of the lineup but his season ultimately cut short.
However, head coach Eric Musselman was blown away by Brazile’s rehab process and gave an incredible update following his player’s surgery.
“TB had good surgery and one of the coolest things ever, he lifted weights last night which I don’t know if I’ve ever had a player still on crutches right after surgery a couple of days after in the weight room,” Musselman said. “So that was really cool to talk to TB and hear him tell you that he’s already gotten back in the weight room.”
Not only that, Brazile did not really take any time off. He was consistently with the team.
“He’s with us every day,” Musselman said. “He was in yesterday, getting rehab. He was already in this morning, getting rehab. I know my wife saw him in the office. She was in here one day before I was in here and he was in getting rehab, so he’s doing a great job and really diving into that rehab process.”

Earlier this season, Musselman opened up how the team would support Brazile in the immediate aftermath of his injury.
“The biggest thing is just trying to support (Trevon),” Musselman said Dec. 9 following Brazile’s injury. “Just a little bit ago (I was) with he, his dad, and the trainer. And (we were) just kind of going through timelines. He’ll get a chance to meet with the surgeon tomorrow. (Then) figure out an exact date of when the surgery will happen. And we want him to be around the team as much as he possibly can be. He was already in this morning getting with our trainer…(We’re) more concerned with him being in the right mental frame and being okay as much as a player can be. I think that’s the biggest concern.”
Brazile came to Fayetteville this summer after spending last season at Missouri. He started his college career averaging 6.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks on 53.4% shooting for the Tigers. Brazile then hit the portal and has flourished with the Razorbacks as he averaged 11.8 points and a team-high six rebounds off the bench.
