LOOK: Eric Musselman posts hilarious photo after landing third McDonald's All-American for 2022
After Arkansas basketball coach Eric Musselman landed five-star guard Anthony Black on Monday, he now has three McDonald’s All-American players in his 2022 recruiting class. The Razorbacks head man took to Twitter to celebrate, where he posted a photo of himself smiling at three McDonald’s cheeseburgers on his desk.
Black committed to Arkansas over offers from Gonzaga, Oklahoma State and TCU. The Texas native ranks as the No. 19 overall player in 2022 according to On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average.
The 6-foot-6 combo guard joins Arkansas native Nick Smith and small forward Jordan Walsh as the other two five-stars and McDonald’s All-American players in Eric Musselman’s recruiting class. Arkansas also signed four-star combo guard Derrian Ford to give them four players in the top 100 of On3’s 2022 class rankings. Overall, the Razorbacks signed the No. 3 class in the nation and No. 2 class in the SEC.
Musselman and the Razorbacks are coming off of their second-straight Elite Eight appearance, where they fell against No. 2 seed Duke on Saturday. This is his first time landing a top 10 recruiting class since taking over the team in 2020. He has led Arkansas to at least 20 wins in every season since then, and the future only appears to be getting brighter. Three-stars Joseph Pinion and Barry Dunning round out this year’s six-man class.

McDonald’s All-American Anthony Black talks Arkansas, Eric Musselman
In a previous interview with On3’s Gerry Hamilton, Black discussed his thoughts on the Arkansas Razorbacks.
“I just know that Coach Muss knows what to do with big guards. I know he also knows what to do when he has a lot of talent on the same team. So I feel like me, and Nick (Smith) and Jordan (Walsh); and everyone else they have right now would play well together. And I think he would do a good job of making us play unselfish.”
Black officially visited Arkansas in September and was able to see how the Hogs operate.
“I liked it (the visit) a lot,” Black said. “They ran their practice like professionals. You could see the development and NBA play style there. Coach Musselman’s NBA experience and his staff’s experience in the league was attractive.”
