Eric Musselman shares what type of team bothers Arkansas
Eric Musselman and the Arkansas Razorbacks are limping into the SEC Tournament, after losing their final three games to Alabama, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Those are all respectable losses but for the Razorbacks it was a reminder of where they were coming up short this season.
As Musselman explained, Arkansas chose to go small with its lineups. This means that physical teams can bother them.
“I think when you gain something in one area, you might lose it in another,” Eric Musselman said. “And so we played a little bit smaller at times.”
The problem is that against three very talented teams, Arkansas struggled to play as physically as they needed to if the Razorbacks wanted to win.
“I think that helps you take care of the basketball. Right now, physical teams are bothering us. Physicality at the rim is bothering us.”

Eric Musselman on Arkansas making a run
Despite the difficult end to the season, Arkansas could still get hot and make a run. The problem, as Eric Musselman explained, is that the Razorbacks don’t have as much experience as their opponents.
“I think we were able to make runs the last two years…I’ve talked about us winning that first game of the tournament. And the confidence that we thought we were going to win that tournament. No one knows at all how that would play out,” Musselman said.
“With this team, again with a lot of young guys? Just getting them to understand that this is a new season. It’s probably gonna come down to one possession in many of these games. Auburn’s very well-coached and they’ve got a lot of veterans. We’ve got to understand, from a preparation standpoint, that Auburn does have more experience in this setting than we do.”
