Florida Gators transfer defensive lineman Justus Boone is taking his talents to Fayetteville, committing to join the Arkansas Razorbacks via the NCAA Transfer Portal, the team announced on Saturday afternoon.
This past season, Boone was a redshirt junior who has saw other players move past him in the rotation while the Gators defense came to life during the second half of the season. Now, he’ll look to rejuvenate his collegiate career with Arkansas.
The 6-foot-4, 266-pound defender appeared in the team’s first 11 games of the season, recording 10 tackles, 2.0 tackles for a loss, 0.5 sacks and a pass breakup. His impact was fairly limited.
In the meantime, Florida’s defensive line really started to get after it, starting in the last three games of the regular season. The unit has logged 18 sacks in those three games, making life incredibly difficult on opposing quarterbacks. Boone was mostly absent during that stretch.
Prior to enrolling at Florida, Justus Boone was ranked as a four-star prospect and the No. 183 overall recruit in the 2021 class. He was ranked as the No. 18 EDGE defender and the No. 2 overall player from the state of South Carolina, hailing from Sumter (SC) Sumter.

More on the Arkansas Razorbacks, NCAA Transfer Portal
In other transfer portal news for Arkansas, former UCF offensive lineman Caden Kitler has committed to transfer to the Razorbacks as well, On3’s Pete Nakos reported. The 6-foot-2, 290-pound Kitler has two years of collegiate eligibility remaining.
Kitler brings a wealth of starting experience to a reshuffled Razorbacks offensive line after starting 11 games this past season at center for the Knights. Kitler has started 13 of the 17 games he participated in over the past two seasons with UCF.
Per the latest in On3’s 2025 Top Transfer Portal Players, Kitler is the No. 21 interior lineman and No. 280 overall transfer.
As a member of the Class of 2022, Kitler was a three -star recruit out of John Paull II (Plano, Tex.) High, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 196 overall prospect in the state, the No. 99 IOL in the class and the No. 1,285 overall prospect in the class.
Kitler is the second of two transfer offensive lineman to join Arkansas this week following Georgia Tech offensive tackle Corey Robinson II‘s signing earlier.
