Four-Star RB Braylen Russell commits to Arkansas
Four-star running back Braylen Russell of Benton (AR) High announced his commitment to Arkansas Friday night.
The 6-foot-2, 235 pounder chose the Razorbacks over Tennessee and South Carolina.
Russell on why he chose Arkansas
“They never gave up on me once I decommitted from them,” Russell said. “In 10th grade they showed me that I am their guy and they wanted me.”
Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for him
“The coaching staff is amazing,” Russell said. “I’m really close with the running back coach Jimmy Smith. They plan on using me as a 3 down back that can do everything just about.”
What it means to stay home to Russell and family
“It means a lot for the home state to show so much love and just to feel wanted by where you’re from. It is just special.”

Russell ranks as the No. 316 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 27 running back and the No. 4 player in the state of Arkansas.
The Arkansas running back joins coach Sam Pittman and the Razorbacks’ top 20 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by four-star defensive lineman Charleston Collins, four-star athlete Courtney Crutchfield, and others.
