Ole Miss did not have a good day in Fayetteville on Saturday, getting beat by Sam Pittman and the Arkansas Razorbacks. The day got worse for linebacker Troy Brown when his helmet got stolen by somebody in the crowd. A video of the moment went viral on Tik Tok over the weekend, with a fan running away with his blue helmet.

Brown eventually got it back, posting so on Twitter. Even so, not something people in charge of the Arkansas program want to see from their supporters.

Pittman was asked about the incident during his Monday press conference, calling this whole situation “unfortunate.” He said Arkansas fans are better than the actions of one man and noted how one bad apple can ruin all the fun.

Closing by saying he hopes Brown gets his helmet back, Pittman will be glad to know that was accomplished.

“A, I don’t have Tik Tok,” Sam Pittman joked. “B, we just heard about it. Somebody stole an Ole Miss helmet. It’s unfortunate. We don’t have to do all that. We’d be mad if someone stole ours on the road. It’s unfortunate and I hope they get it back.

“There’s no room for that. Our fans are better than that. We average 73,115 and you know, like anything in life, it takes one guy to screw it up. That’s unfortunate and I hope they get their helmet back.”

In the viral Tik Tok, a fan was seen rushing up the stairs of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium, running off with the visitor’s helmet. At first, Brown decided to hop over a railing but thought better of chasing after the fan after a moment. He stood there in disappointment, pleading to get it back.

The fan was eventually caught, getting Brown his classic blue Ole Miss helmet back.

On the field, Brown recorded six tackles in the 42-27 loss to Arkansas. Thankfully, he will still have some head protection heading into Thursday’s Thanksgiving showdown against Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl.
