Arkansas OL Andrew Chamblee plans to enter NCAA Transfer portal
Andrew Chamblee reportedly plans to enter his name into the transfer portal according to On3’s Pete Nakos.
Matt Zenitz of 247 Sports shared the news first in a tweet on Friday afternoon.
Chamblee spent the past two seasons with the Razorbacks. He redshirted in his first year before his redshirt freshman season this past year. In 2023, he appeared in every game for the ‘Hogs, including eight starts. For his efforts, he earned a spot on the All-SEC Freshman Team.
However, earlier this month, it was shared that Chamblee was no longer part of Arkansas’ program. The original report suggested that he had “lost the love for the game” but would not be transferring as he planned to continue his life as a student in Fayetteville.
Now, later in the same month, that no longer appears to be the case for Chamblee.
Chamblee played high school football at Maumelle in Arkansas. He was a four-star prospect there as the No. 336 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He rated as the No. 16 OT in the class and the No. 2 player in the state behind only WR Isaiah Sategna.

If and when Chamblee officially transfers, he will be the first loss of the spring cycle for Arkansas. This comes after the Razorbacks lost 24 players to the portal in the previous cycle at the end of last season. The group featured several key contributors with 14 of the 24 having committed to new teams.
In turn, Arkansas added 14 transfers of their own for this fall’s roster. They come together to make up the No. 17 transfer class according to On3’s 2024 Team Transfer Portal Rankings. Four of those are on the offensive line with two in Keyshawn Blackstock (Michigan State) and Fernando Carmona (San José State) playing offensive tackle.
