Sam Pittman announces Davion Dozier suffered broken wrist in Arkansas practice
Redshirt freshman wide receiver Davion Dozier suffered a broken wrist during Saturday’s spring game, Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman revealed.
Dozier reportedly was having a solid spring after redshirting his true freshman season in Fayetteville. In 2023, he appeared in one game, a 56-13 win over WCU, where he caught a single pass for 14 yards while scoring a touchdown.
Pittman did not provide an injury timetable for Dozier, but Hog Nation is certainly wishing him a speedy recovery.
Before Arkansas, Dozier ranked as the No. 419 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He was a consensus three-star recruit.
Taylen Green breaks down his performance in Arkansas spring game
Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green got off to a quick start in his televised debut as a Razorback, tossing two touchdown passes in the first quarter of the team’s spring game.
Green comes in from Boise State to replace longtime starter KJ Jefferson for the Hogs, and like Jefferson, he’s a big-armed and big-bodied veteran who can stretch the defense vertically. After a strong first couple of quarters, Green spoke with the broadcast crew about his performance.
“I thought it was good, you know, can always be better,” was Green’s brief review. He says the new Arkansas OC was still pretty tough on him.

“Coach (Bobby) Petrino was on me on a couple plays for my reads. So, he expects perfection out of me, executing every single play, and that’s what I love.”
Green added that execution is his only job under Petrino, since he can trust the longtime coach’s play designs.
“I just let him do him. I just let him draw up the plays and dissect the defense and all I got to do is soak everything up and go play ball.”
Green says he also has to let Tyrone Broden go and do his own thing too. At 6’7, Broden is a massive target for the Arkansas QB and can make a catch out of some pretty ridiculous throws.
“It definitely makes it easy. He tells me all the time ‘you put it up and I’ll make a play,'” Green said of Broden. “Him and Andrew (Armstrong), they’re really big targets It makes my job easier, just to have a big frame and know they’re going to catch it.”
